Housekeeper / Laundry

We are looking for a new team member to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities Included, but not limited to:

• Cleaning, folding, and ironing linen
• Cleaning assigned properties to property standards. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpet, shampooing carpet, mopping floors, washing dishes and dusting furniture. Replacing light bulbs, remote and smoke detector batteries when needed. Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms
• Deep cleaning tasks may include but are not limited to changing the AC filter cleaning the AC coils touching up paint on walls/molding touching up scratched furniture or rehanging closed slide doors
• Place and restock usable items in the suite including paper items, soap, and towels, according to hotel Standards
• Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner
• Maintain and restock supplies each day
• Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys, or keys left by guests in suite
• Bring all lost and found items to the Office
• Report all missing items from room (i.e., irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Supervisor
• Report immediately to the Supervisor any out of the ordinary situation in the guests' suite, including unreported pets, parties in the suite, unusually dirty sites, or a vacant suite when the room is thought to be occupied.
• Accommodates guest special requests courteously
• Answer guest questions regarding the local area facilities and services. Ensure overall guest satisfaction
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned; reasonable requests from a supervisor

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Ability to move throughout the business (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders
• Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment

Skills and Experience:

• Previous housekeeping experience in the hospitality/resort field preferred, but not required
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Positive, Energetic Attitude at all times
• May be required to work weekends and holidays
• May be asked to work overtime
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurable
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
