About Us: Desert Insight is a growing group practice located in Cathedral City and Indio. We are dedicated to offering comprehensive and compassionate mental health support to our community. Our practice primarily operates on an insurance-based model, enabling us to reach a wide range of clients in need. Our approach is centered around the clients, rooted in the community and attuned to the needs of our therapists.

Position Overview: As the Clinical Director at Desert Insight, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team of therapists and providing high-quality mental health services to our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass both clinical caseload management and leadership duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, a passion for community well-being, and a desire to create positive change through therapy and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clinical caseload of 20 clients per week · in addition to Clinical Director responsibilities which are estimated at 5-20 hours weekly depending on the needs. The clinical caseload requirements are expected to decrease over time.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to therapists on our team, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement growth strategies for the practice.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes learning and professional development.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and ensure the practice remains aligned with ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Active registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LMFT, LPCC or LCSW
  • Compassionate and caring
  • A passion to support local communities and normalize mental health
  • Cultural awareness, education and/or knowledge
  • Strong writing skills to complete mental health assessments and establish medical necessity
  • Eligible to supervise associates

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with the local populations
  • Bilingual in English and in Spanish
  • Trained in an evidenced-based modality like CBT, DBT, ART, EMDR, etc - training can be provided
  • Trauma-informed experience and education
