This ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC position, is located within an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron or Maintenance Squadron, Avionics Element, Avionics Shop or Communications/Navigation/ECM, Guidance and Control shop that supports aircraft and is part of the CA 163 ATKW.

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION

Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.

The primary purpose of the ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-13, is to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. The worker in this career field must demonstrate the ability to perform on-or-off equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial or radar navigation systems.

May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

General Experience: Must possess experience in duties such as installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes

ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-2610-13: Must have at least at least 12 months of specialized experiences working as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12; Specialized experience reviewing and analyzing maintenance data; Experience determining if criteria is sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; Experience devising and recommending tests, procedural changes, or data corrections; Experience monitoring the operations of complex, inter-related systems, analyzing operating trends, and proposing preventative maintenance down time; Experience performing alignments, adjustments, and conducting final calibrations on integrated systems to determine successful repairs.
