Job Responsibilities:

  • Secure funding and resources to support employment programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors,and advocate for the needs of participants seeking employment opportunities
  • Research funding sources, grant opportunities, and corporate sponsorships that supports employment initiatives for people with disabilities.
  • Identify innovative and creative fundraising approaches to engage donors, supporters, and the community.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to support employment programs and services for people with disabilities.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, funding applications, and sponsorship requests tailored to the interests and priorities of funding organizations.
  • Engage donors through community outreach, networking opportunities, meetings and events.
  • Maintain donor databases and records.
  • Provides guidance to adults with disabilities on raising funds, collect donations.
  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals to raise awareness and generate support for programs serving individuals with disabilities.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure proper accounting, allocation, and reporting of funds.
  • Collaborate with the management team on the fundraising opportunities.
  • Responsible for the immediate reporting of any injury/incident involving consumers or self.
  • Responsible for accurately recording consumer goal progress (case notes) for reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position, and be punctual.
  • Responsible for the monthly worksite training data
  • Communicate with the case manager on issues, concerns, and progress of consumers.
  • Responsible for safety training and enforcement of safety rules.
  • Facilitate monthly scheduled safety meetings and evacuation drills with consumers.
  • Accurately document information needed for billing purposes.
  • Responsible for submitting required CARF paperwork, including vehicle inspection checklist, to case managers at the end of the month.ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Participate in job fairs, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Works independently and as a team.
  • Supervisory responsibilities to consumers assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices, including donor cultivation,solicitation strategies, and stewardship activities. Familiarity with grant writing, grant management, and fundraising software/tools. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for advocating for the rights and opportunities of individuals with disabilities. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to be a self-starter, while working as an effective team player.

Proficient in reading, writing and math skills; proficient in office software’s, Google applications, and

Case Magic software programs. Excellent communication, grammar and interpersonal skills. Valid California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to insurance companies. CPR and First Aid certificate required and offered by employer.
