JOB TITLE: Landscape Job Coach

DEPARTMENT: 1300

WORK SITE: 381 Main Street, Riverside, CA 92501

JOB STATUS: Full Time and Hourly

POSITION REPORTS TO:Landscape Foreman and/or Landscape Operations Manager

SCHEDULE: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm, Paid Half hour lunch when supervision of Enclaves, Monday to Friday, with additional hours as needed arise, overtime must be pre-approved by the direct manager.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. The following are the necessary duties to be performed:

 

  • Receives direct supervision from Landscape Foreman and/or Landscape Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision, motivation, and training of consumers.
  • Provide oral and written feedback to the consumer regarding job progress.
  • Produce landscape maintenance in a fast paced environment.
  • Operate large landscape and construction equipment; inspect equipment including rider mower.
  • Maintain consumer timesheets, attendance records, worksite training data records.
  • Provide safety training and enforcement of job site safety rules.
  • Conducts vehicle inspection checklists and reports urgent repairs using the Vehicle Maintenance Repair Request form or the QR code..
  • Communicate with case managers on issues, concerns, and progress of consumers.
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings and evacuation drills with consumers.
  • Reports all incidents and accidents immediately by completing the Incident Report form and notifying the Case Manager.
  • Accurately document information needed for billing purposes and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections.
  • Safely operate and drive a vehicle up to nine (9) passengers; safely tow a 16 foot trailer fully loaded with large area moving equipment.
  • Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position, and be punctual.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Performs other duties as required.
  • May perform work in other classifications at the same or lower level.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

Six (6) months experience working in landscape; previous experience working with people with disabilities is desired. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proficient in reading, writing and math skills; proficient in office computer softwares. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to insurance companies. CPR and First Aid certificate required.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common, technical documents and safety rules; operating and maintenance instructions; represent the company in a professional manner to top management, public and speak effectively before groups. Skilled in problem solving matters that may arise and create solutions; basic mathematical skills and operations.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, squatting, carrying, pushing, pulling and occasional lifting of material up to 50 pounds.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

The work environment for a Landscape Job Coach can vary significantly depending on the season, project type, and location. Typically, the job coach spends most of their time outdoors, overseeing crews and managing projects in various conditions. During the summer, they may work in extreme heat, requiring proper hydration and heat illness prevention measures. In winter, they face colder temperatures, which may necessitate appropriate clothing and gear to ensure comfort and safety. Worksites may include residential properties, commercial landscapes, parks, and other outdoor spaces, often requiring the Job Coach to adapt to different environments and challenges. Extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain are encountered throughout the year. The Job Coach is required to work well under pressure of deadlines. 

 

COMPENSATION: $17.00- $21.00/HR

The above range is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
